Your rent at Venable Court includes water, sewer, trash, and internet! You will be responsible for electricity, since this utility bill varies by season. For energy efficiency tips, please visit this site. 

Yes! A washer, dryer, stove/oven, refridgerator, dishwasher and garbage disposal come with the apartment. These applicances are covered by the lease so if anything breaks, let us know!

Yes! We are just a few minutes away by any mode of transportation. The UVA UTS has a stop right across the street! We are an 11 minute walk/6 minute bike ride to Central Grounds.

Currently, we do not lease by the room. You will sign a lease with your roommates. This give you the freedom to live with who you choose! We will never assign a random roommate to your apartment. If you do not have enough roommates to fill an apartment, you can add someone onto the lease at a later date for a fee. For tips on finding roommates, please visit this site. 

Yes! Since your lease will typically be 12 months in length, there may be some time that you are not living in the apartment. If you wish to sublease during the summer or winter breaks, you are able to. You are responsbile for finding the person to sublease, they will need to fill out an application here, and be approved by RPI. There is a fee of $375 to sublease the apartment and subleases must be approved by management.

Renewal offers are sent out early in the lease term due to UVA's competitive housing market. It will arrive in your online portal mid-August to early September. This form, once signed, will extend your lease a year and gives you the opportunity to decide if you'd like to stay at Venable Court for the next school year. You will also be able to use this opportunity to change names on the lease. For instance, if 2 of your roommates are staying for the next year and 2 are graduating, you can find 2 people to replace them on the lease. They will need to apply and be approved by management at RPI. Contact the leasing office or follow the instructions on your renewal form for more information.

Parking is available at Venable Court! You will have one reserved parking space per apartment and everyone on the lease will receive parking passes to use that space. There are also a number of "overflow" spaces on the property that anyone with a valid pass may use. Due to the limited supply, you may not purchase an additional parking space. Venable Court is very close to Grounds, and many UVA students do not need a vehicle during their time at the University.
